a sad week

archimedes lost his fb account a few days ago because he was actively promoting bearplace. last night, berrie and dandan bear lost their accounts too. and it seems that fb removed most bears and their friends, including pro bear group pages. this just doesn't make any bear sense. maybe this is what iraq people are puzzled about what george bush did to them.

the bird in the car park

this birdie has been sitting there for over a month. i was worried about her because it didn't seem to be a safe place. finally, humans put on a fence for her yesterday. she doesn't seem to notice the difference.

it's breeding season again. this time something strange happened. i saw four birds working on the same nest (three in the picture and one was away). there were already eggs in the nest, and one was actually hatching. it's very clever of them to share the effort, but how would they know which ducklings belong to which family? mystery...
